| PURPOSE (To intend, resolve, plan and determine) Walking in purpose is not a thing to achieve. It is the natural fruit of an intimate relationship with the creator God. He alone has the right to intend, resolve, plan, and determine our steps, in order to accomplish His sovereign plan and purpose. The purpose of a created being is to carry out the creators will. (Romans 12:1,2) “The Lord will fulfill His purpose for me; your love O Lord endures forever—do not abandon the works of your hands.” (Psalm 138:8 NIV; See Romans 8:14-30) “The counsel (purpose) of the Lord stands forever, The plans of His heart for all generations” (Psalm 33:11; see Ephesians 1:10,11; 3:1-12; 2 Thessalonians 2:13,14) “The human mind may devise many plans, but it is the purpose of the Lord that shall be established” (Proverbs 19:21 RSV) “But He is unique, and who can make Him change? And whatever He desires that He does. For He performs what is appointed for me, And many such things are with Him.” (Job 23:13,14) The Lord of hosts has sworn, saying, “surely, as I have thought, so shall it come to pass, and as I have purposed, so shall it stand.” (Isaiah 12:24) For the Lord of hosts has purposed, and who will annul it?
